Another brush fire burns at Las Vegas Valley park

Updated June 9, 2025 - 6:38 pm

The Clark County Fire Department is fighting a brush fire Monday at Clark County Wetlands Park.

The size of the fire is estimated at 3 to 5 acres, the county said in a statement. The fire is in the area between Duck Creek Trail and the Quail Run Trail.

“Forward progression of the fire has been stopped due to the quick response of firefighters from multiple agencies,” the county said.

In addition to Clark County, agencies involved the effort include Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, and the Nevada Division of Forestry. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Crews are expected to remain on scene through Tuesday to extinguish any hot spots that may flare up.

The fire call came in just before 2:30 p.m., according to the PulsePoint app. Clark County Wetlands Park spans 2,900 acres.
